Club Personnel Update
With all the changes on the field recently the club have not stood still off the pitch in recent months with some recent appointments having taken place off the pitch.
Having stood down from his role as Academy Chairman at the start of last season, after many years, Ged Irwin has agreed to join the Board of Directors.
Ged has been a hard worker within the club for many years, filling a variety of roles and since leaving his Academy position played a key role in helping set up our new and ever-growing Learning Disability Programme.
Ged’s appointment to the board was confirmed at the clubs AGM in May and regulars will be delighted to hear that he has already confirmed that this will not impact on his position as chief coffee brewer in the Phoenix Coffee Shop on matchdays!
Also taking up a new position within the club is Cameron Moore, who has been appointed Secretary to the Board of Directors.
Cameron is no stranger to administration roles within the club, holding a number of secretarial positions and also plays an important role within the clubs Seconds team setup and committee system.
There have also been two new committees formed in recent weeks.
Firstly, Richard Darrah, Aaron Allen and Peter Mills have formed a new Grants Committee and will be working closely with the club on this area.
The second committee formed is our Sponsorship Committee and joining this are Ged, Donna Maxwell, Claire McCaffrey, Craig McVeigh, Terry Thompson and Michael Bell having agreed to join this. This committee will work with the present sponsorship team as we hope to maximise this area of the club.
Our thanks to everyone who has agreed to take on these roles and we wish them great success as we start to turn around the fortunes of the club after a difficult few years.
