Director of Football Appointed
Lisburn Distillery are delighted to welcome back Raymond (Ray) Alexander to the club into a brand new role of Director of football at Lisburn Distillery.
Ray has had two spells previously at the club as youth team manager under Billy Hamilton and then again as the clubs Youth Development Office under first team manager Paul Kirk and he will bring with him a wealth of experience having worked extensively at all levels of the local game as well as coaching at county and international level.
Ray’s main role at the club will be to oversee the development of all things football from mini soccer through to our academy and also at first team and reserve team levels with the main emphasis being to ensure a clear pathway is developed for player progression throughout the club.
Commenting on his appointment Ray stated “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed Director of football at such a prestigious club as Lisburn Distillery. It’s a huge statement from the board of directors that they have entrusted me to help take the club forward in terms of all things from grass roots, the academy and also supporting first team manager Johnny Clapham. It’s a challenging role for me, and indeed everyone connected with the club, but it is a role that I approach with great excitement in being able to play my part in helping develop the undoubted potential of this great club.”
