Iconic historical link continues “Dunville’s” brand backs Distillery

We are delighted to announce that our long association with the iconic Dunville’s brand continues with the multi-award winning Echlinville Distillery proudly continuing as our back of shirt sponsor for the 2022/23 season.

The connection between Dunville’s and Distillery is of course unique in local football and beyond – the club founded by employees of Dunville’s whiskey back in 1880.

Lisburn Distillery director Terry Thompson said; “It’s great news that our sponsors and friends at The Echlinville Distillery remain committed to, and support, this famous club. I am really delighted that a truly unique historical link, vitally important to the club, continues on to this day.

Speaking both personally and on behalf of everyone here at the club it’s great to see “Dunville’s Irish Whiskey” on the back of the famous white shirts. We were also delighted to hear that at the recent “Whiskey Live” event in Dublin that the connection between the iconic brand and the club was raised over more than a glass or two by a number of those attending!

As well as sincerely thanking owner Shane Braniff and the team at Echlinville for their backing for the season ahead, I can add on behalf of everyone here at the club that are very pleased, appreciative, and genuinely proud to have them as our “Back of Shirt” sponsor.

The sponsorship announcement is a great boost to the start of the season – this is the seventh season that the Echlinville Distillery ( https://echlinville.com/ ) the multi-award-winning Northern Ireland distillery based just outside Kircubbin on the Ards Peninsula, has sponsored us. Echlinville’s award-winning “Dunville’s Irish Whiskey” brand has now appeared on the back of the first team kit, re-kindling that special link to the club’s roots, since 2019.
