Seconds Team Management Update
As many may already be aware, Glenn Dorrian decided to stand down as Lisburn Distillery’s Seconds team manager just before the end of last season. The club thanks Glenn for his efforts during his time at the club and we wish him well in his new role as Banbridge Town Seconds manager.
Replacing Glenn as the team manager is David Irwin (pictured below). David of course needs no introduction to the club having been involved with our Youth Academy for many years and been assistant manager with the Seconds team to both Glenn and previous manager Simon Wragg.
Assisting David will be Colin Scott (below top) and Glenn Smith (below bottom), both of whom also need no introduction to the club having also been involved with our Academy in the past and the Seconds team last season.
One new face joining the set up is Ryan Irwin. We say new face but of course Ryan has been a lifelong supporter of the club and even played for the first time a number of years ago before moving on to have spells as a player with Dromara Village, Lisburn Rangers and Ballymacash Rangers.
We wish all the Seconds team staff well for the upcoming season, in which we will once again be entering a team in the NIFL Championship/Premier Intermediate League Development League.
Pre-season for the side continues tomorrow with an early kick off against St. Oliver Plunkett, 11:30am at Barbour Playing Fields if anyone is at a loose end before the first teams game against Shankill United.
