Stephen Hatfield
New Lisburn Distillery manager Stephen Hatfield was present at training last Thursday night and after meeting and speaking with the first-team squad, he gave this short statement in his first interview with David Hunter;
“First of all it’s a massive privilege and honour to be given this responsibility.
Lisburn Distillery as a club has a fantastic reputation and a fantastic history in the Irish League and in terms of the challenge it was one that myself and my backroom staff simply couldn’t turn down.
I am really looking forward to getting started next season; there is an excitement and enthusiasm with myself and my coaching staff and I can certainly assure everyone at Lisburn Distillery that we will be doing everything in our power to return them to the higher tiers of the Irish League. I have already had a number of conversations with the majority of the current squad and have to admit I have been delighted with their levels of positivity and how highly they speak about the club.”
Stephen will be at Glen Road Heights on Tuesday night for our final league game against Sport & Leisure Swifts but will not be in charge of the team – the current interim arrangements remain in place and we thank Aaron Harris, Stephen Curley and Barry Moore for their hard work and dedication in recent weeks.
