During the last few weeks of the 2021/22 season supporters at the club were donating food and personal items to send to Ukraine to help aid with the refugee crisis due to the invasion by Russia. Community relations officer Ged Irwin takes up the story.
“I was in contact with one of my neighbours who is originally from Ukraine and was collecting items to send to Ukraine and Poland to help with the crisis going on due to the war.
I asked supporters to donate some of these items, but wasn’t sure how many donations we would receive as the season was drawing to a close.
Over 20 boxes packed with nappies, pasta, tinned food, sweets and animal food were donated by supporters.”
The club would like to put on record a massive thanks to every supporter who donated items to make the collection such a success.

Thanks to everyone for all of your support
