Lisburn Distillery Youth Academy
In barely nine seasons since its formation in 2006, Lisburn Distillery’s Youth Academy and Youth team has grown to boast over 130 players and 30 members of staff in its ranks.
The Academy has teams at every age group from Under 8’s up to Under 17’s to feed
into the club’s Youth Team (Under 19s) who play in the Irish Youth League and Manager

Several players in the clubs first team squad have come through the ranks at the academy and we are proud of our recent track record of producing ‘home grown’ players to play in the Northern Ireland Football League.
Our coaches work tirelessly organising and delivering sessions, on matchdays and behind the scenes to help develop our promising players. In addition to this, regular appearances in cup or shield finals as well as high placed league finishes have enhanced the academy’s growing reputation not just in the borough of Lisburn but right across Northern Ireland.
With the 2014-
Under 17s League Champions, Shield runners up
Under 16s League Champions
Under 15s League runners up, Shield runners up, Cup semi finalist
Under 14s 3rd place defeat to Portadown in final game cost at least runners up spot.
Under 13s Won more games this season than in the previous 2 seasons combined, while still playing some great football.
2 league champions then, a runners up place and big improvements in the younger teams. A lot of positives and already looking forward to next season.
Next season sees us add another team to our already bustling academy with the introduction of a new under 13’s team and we wish them well for the future.
All this cannot be achieved without a dedicated and committed list of volunteer staff, sponsors and supporters who continue to enable these huge steps to be realised. The Academy’s mantra is that ‘The Futures Bright: The Futures White!’ Here’s to another great season for the Wee Whites!
Lisburn Distillery’s Head of Development is Tommy Kincaid, whilst the committee who contribute to the day to day administration and management of the academy are as follows:

Billy and Phillip Shannon have recently been appointed as head coaches for the team next season. The move sees both men moving up from a highly successful Under 17’s team within the clubs academy and they will doubtless be hoping to build on this ethos of success on the pitch. We wish both men well in their new roles.
Further updates on the Youth team will follow once the season is underway
