A new year, new month, new winner (and a new bottle of Dunville’s to be won).
Saturday was our first fixture since 18th December and it was time to announce the Dunville’s Irish Whiskey Player of the Month Award for December 2021.
Results and performances were good, and still improving, so well done to Lewis Higginson who came out on top in a keenly contested month.
The former academy player returned to the club at the start of the season, and fittingly in the context of the award, his performances have been maturing over the last few months.
Congratulations to Lewis on lifting the coveted award; he is pictured just before his warm-up (and in action) on Saturday with a bottle of Dunville’s 1808 Blended Irish Whiskey.
“1808” is the most recent addition to the award-winning Dunville’s line-up, its name is a tribute to the year in which Dunville’s Irish Whiskey was founded in Belfast, and it is a blend of malt, grain and pot still whiskeys.
We once again thank Shane Braniff and his team at the award-winning Echlinville Distillery for their terrific support with the monthly award and we have re-worked the monthly award’s logo to reflect the new spirit at Dunville’s and here at Distillery.

We will be announcing the January winner before our home game to Dollingstown on 05th February.
