Manager Stephen Hatfield Resigns
Lisburn Distillery wish to announce that Stephen Hatfield has resigned as first team manager.
The club would like to place on record our sincere gratitude for all of Stephen’s efforts with club secretary Colin Hopkins commenting “It is sadness that we have accepted Stephen’s resignation as first team manager. Over the last few months he has worked exceptionally hard in very difficult circumstances and there can be no doubt that he has a genuine compassion for the well being of the club.”
Stephen has asked us to pass on his own personal message: “I have loved every minute being in charge of this fantastic football club. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked as we would all have liked, and i feel its now best to give somebody else an opportunity to return the club to the level it should be.
I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone involved at the club who work very hard running all aspects of the club behind the scenes, also my coaching staff at 1st Team level and U20s level and the players who have all worked very hard despite difficult circumstances at times.
Thank you all and Good Luck for the Future #COYW”
Assistant manager Nick O’Neill has agreed to take over as caretaker manager for the remainder of the season and will be supported by the existing backroom staff. #coyw
