“Three crowns” anniversary kit announced
New Grosvenor Stadium, Northern Ireland, 08/12/2025
Lisburn Distillery Football Club is delighted to announce a special, unique, commemorative, third kit for the 2025-2026 season.
Informally christened as our “Three crowns” kit – a name not dissimilar but not actually linked to an award-winning premium vintage blend of whiskey from our good friends at Dunville’s – the kit has been launched to mark, and celebrate, a special season in our history.
That season was the 1895-1896 season, the first season that Distillery won the Irish League, completed its first league and Irish Cup double, and lifted the County Antrim Shield as well.
(We could have won four trophies but….)
So we are marking the 130th anniversary of that great season with this special one-off kit.
The kit is a throwback to the past in terms of colours – a navy shirt with soft gold trim, for obvious reasons, and three crowns on each sleeve. The shorts are soft gold, the socks navy with a soft goal band (the production versions will be lettered).
The goalkeeper’s kit is the reverse, soft gold shirt, navy shorts and soft gold socks.
The kit will be worn on Saturday 07th February 2026 in our home league match against Ballyclare Comrades.
It will be worn only once and will then become a match-worn supporter’s/collector’s item. It will also be the first time in just over a quarter of a century that the famous Irish League club name – “Distillery” – will once again be on the front of our team shirts in a competitive match.
There are a total of 20 shirts (including two goalkeepers)
The complete kit costs £80 – for those on the 2025/26 “Buy A Shirt” Scheme (BAS) there is a reduced price of £70 to recognise their much appreciated support.
From today until 16/12/25 inclusive, existing 2025/2026 BAS members will have the first option to secure their existing number(s). They can also acquire additional shirts if they desire.
After that numbers and shirts will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Colin Beattie who runs the BAS scheme will also administer this special shirt scheme and can be contacted on beattiecolin701@gmail.com
It is a special shirt, thank you for your support, and we also thank Jude O’Hara who helped us with the photographs.
