“God jul” från vara vänner
“Merry Christmas” from our friends.
The annual tradition continues, with our great friends from the Lisburn Distillery Scandinavian Supporters Club sending us festive greetings and their “julkort” (Christmas card).
Each year the club hold its “höstträff” (autumn meeting) in the north of Denmark and as you can see from the photo it’s not hard to see their support and colourful backing for our club.
Pictured at this year’s event are;
Back row – Ulf Carlsson and Ole Hjorth.
Middle row – Jan Tholin, Thomas “Tjoffe” Sehrman (a new member – välkommen Tjoffe), Christer Lindström, Roiene Engdahl and Steffan Kapellner.
Front row – Christer “Sledgehammer” Karlsson and Bengt Tholf. Bild tagen av Roy Karlsson (inset)
For our younger supporters, given the Scandis are further north than us they will see the main man (Santa, dressed in red and white of course) before us. So we are always grateful on Christmas Eve that the guys will take the Reindeer Watch in turn, and as soon as he is spotted, the most important message – “Han är på väg!” (He is on his way!) – will be sent by encrypted morse code to club secretary Cameron Moore in the telecommunications’ bunker at New Grosvenor. Christmas will then be truly under way.
Our message to the Scandis is simple; “God jul och ett gott nytt år från oss till era också”
