Kinner on board
Lisburn Distillery Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jack Kinner.
The 20 year-old central midfielder joins us from Ballyclare Comrades; he also featured regularly for H&W Welders at Championship level throughout last season as well as playing against Larne in an Irish Cup quarter-final tie last season.
Prior to that, he played at under-age level for Dundela, Ballymena United, and Cliftonville.
“I am delighted that Jack has signed for Lisburn Distillery” said a very pleased Lisburn Distillery manager, Barry Johnston. “He was much sought-after, and there was no shortage of suitors for him, not only at Premier Intermediate League level but also at Championship level. It’s a great signing all round, and we look forward to seeing him in action for us soon.”
Jack said; “I enjoyed the training last night, and I am looking to getting back to enjoying my football. I know a lot of the boys at the club, I feel that every team will be looking to get promoted and I don’t see why our thoughts should be any different, I would like to have a real good go at it and challenge. I watched the team a good few times last year and I liked the way it tried to play football. I like to get on the ball and play and I can see that’s Barry’s style, that’s the way I want to play too and that pushed me over the line – there were other teams that contacted me but they didn’t really suit my playing style.”
Jack’s transfer was completed on time for him to be included in the squad tomorrow so he could potentially make his debut away to Rathfriland.
