Pat Saunders
It is with deep regret and sadness that the club has learnt of the death of our former goalkeeper Pat Saunders.
Pat joined Distillery from Drogheda United in September 1988 and established himself as the number one choice that season before moving on the following season to Cromac Albion.
Many of our supporters will remember an outstanding display against Glentoran at The Oval after he signed, and our paths have crossed several times in more recent years with his involvement on the backroom of several clubs, including Sport + Leisure.
We extend our very deepest sympathy to the Saunders family at this very sad time, particularly his son Pat, who also played in goals for the club in more recent years.
