“The Duke of York” – our Season Ticket Sponsor 2023/24
“The Duke of York” – our Season Ticket Sponsor 2023/24
At the start of last season, we were delighted to announce that “The Duke of York” would be our first ever season ticket sponsor – so it’s really good news that its sponsorship is continuing for the forthcoming 2023/24 season.
This time round, David Hunter has produced a retro-themed season ticket based on the 1993 season. As he explained; “The 1993/94 season and the Gold Cup win was a hugely memorable one that has stuck with many of us. This year’s ticket is gold to acknowledge that and personally I am delighted to be able to include a character from the Duke of York programme advert that featured on the back page of our matchday programme all those years ago – it will no doubt bring back memories to a lot of our supporters too.”
That advert has been reproduced in the attached image and The Duke of York Bar in Commercial Court, Belfast has gone on to be now known the world over and rightly acclaimed as “being visited by many and missed by few”. Visit Belfast and you add it to your “must see” list; it is also no stranger to Distillery supporters and fans over the years.
The retro-styling remains in place in terms of the wording from that period and the ticket is again credit card sized and made from recyclable-card. And again, we have even been able to make space for your name.
Our “THANKS” once more to Willie Jack and “The Duke of York” for their support for the season ahead.
Shareholders will be able to buy the new season tickets after the club’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday 01 June 2023. If you are not a shareholder, you can purchase a ticket from Friday 02 June onwards – further details including how to make a payment can be obtained by emailing us on [email protected]
With this now being our “off season” and with no regular matchday income for the next few months we would encourage all supporters to support the club ahead of the new season by buying your ticket early.
