Unique historical link continues – “Dunville’s” backing Distillery

Thanks to the backing of Shane Braniff and his award-winning team at the Echlinville Distillery, we are delighted to announce that our long and unique association with the iconic Dunville’s brand will continue for the 2023-2024 season.

This is the eighth season in a row that the multi-award winning Echlinville Distillery has proudly been our back of shirt sponsor.

Lisburn Distillery director Terry Thompson said; “I thank Shane and his team on behalf of everyone here at the club for their continued backing and support for Distillery – still one of the great names in the history of Irish League football.

In this day and age, it’s great to see a truly unique historical relationship continue and as I wrote last season, we are genuinely proud to have them as our “Back of Shirt” sponsor.- it means so much given our history. Their support over the years has been fantastic and remains vitally important to us going forward on and off the pitch.

Last season we had a great turnaround in results and performances after January that saw us move strongly up the table under manager Barry Johnston. We really look forward to this season and are delighted that Dunville’s – “The Spirit of Belfast” (https://dunvilleswhiskey.com/whiskeys/) will have our back once again this time round.“

The connection between Dunville’s and Distillery is of course unique in local football and beyond – the club founded by employees of Dunville’s whiskey back in 1880. Echlinville Distillery (https://echlinville.com/) the multi-award-winning Northern Ireland distillery based just outside Kircubbin on the Ards Peninsula, has sponsored us since the 2016-2017 season.

And Echlinville’s award-winning “Dunville’s Irish Whiskey” brand has now appeared on the back of the first team kit, re-kindling that special link to the club’s roots, since 2019.
