Dunville’s Irish Whiskey Player of the Month – February 2026
The February award was presented ahead of our league game against Newry City on Saturday.
And congratulations go our captain Jordan Morrison, a new winner, in what was both a good month for him and the team.
Jordan joined us in January, he had played for the club as a teenager around 10 years ago in Championship 1, and he had a great month on the pitch. The defender scoring three goals as the team recorded three wins out of four games in the month.
So a huge “WELL DONE” to Jordan who is pictured receiving the classic and very popular monthly award – a bottle of Dunville’s 1808 Blended Irish Whiskey, a modern blend of malt, grain and pot still whiskeys – from Distillery manager Lee Forsythe (left) on the pitch at New Grosvenor.
With two awards left, there is still much to play for in terms of the Dunville’s Player of the Season award, which is based on awards and ratings right across the season, so there are still opportunities for players to come into contention in the weeks ahead.
The awards wouldn’t of course happen EVERY month throughout the season without the support and generosity of our good friends at The Echlinville Distillery. So our sincere thanks again to Shane Braniff and his team for their commitment to us over many years now, the award of course looked out for by players and supporters each month.
As we enter spring and the longer days, Echlinville Tour and Tipple dates are now on-line through to April, with a visit to the distillery in a beautiful part of County Down and close to Strangford Lough an enjoyable trip out. You can find out more about those and the entire award-winning product range at Echlinville here .
