Lee Forsythe
Following the recent advertisement for the role of First Team Manager at Lisburn Distillery, the Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply and interview for the position.
The decision has been made to appoint Lee Forsythe to the role with immediate effect and we are pleased to welcome him to New Grosvenor.
A UEFA A Licence holder, Lee impressed the Board with his managerial experience to date, which includes two promotions with Ards Rangers and Ballymacash Rangers, three league titles and a Border Cup.
Since getting promoted to the Premier Intermediate League with Ballymacash, the side regularly finished in the top four of the division and were often amongst the leagues highest scorers. They were also 90 minutes away from promotion to the Championship during the 22/23 season, only to lose in a play-off against Knockbreda, who Lee previously had a spell managing in the second tier.
Lee will take charge for the first time for Saturday’s Irish Cup game against Finaghy and we wish him well.
A further announcement on backroom staff will be made in due course but at this stage we would like to thank Adam McCart for taking interim charge the past two weeks.
