Stairlift installed in clubhouse
The Mayor was delighted to officially open the new stairlift at the club, a significant step forward in creating a more inclusive and accessible space for everyone in the community.
Thanks to much needed funding from Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, the club can now offer improved access to its facilities for supporters and members with limited mobility. This investment not only enhances physical access but also reinforces a shared commitment to equality, dignity and inclusion.
Jennifer Scott expressed her heartfelt thanks: “This stairlift gives me the dignity and independence to return to the upstairs social club, a place filled with friends, memories, and connection. It opens the door for so many others too.”
